The injected EVA outsole is reinforced for added durability. Im a runner and have plantar fasciitis. So I need a shoe that supports and is comfortable with a relatively low heel height. These wave shoes fit my wide foot perfectly and are the best I have worn. They are my second pair and the first pair lasted me 18 months with almost daily use. When I was done with the first pair I cut them in half down the middle from toe to heel to see just how much heel to toe drop there is in them. The Wave Path have about an 8 mm heel to toe drop which gives you the feeling like you are in running shoes. Whats really cool though is how nice they look. I can wear them with a business suit or a pair of jeans and they look great. I would recommend them to anyone who is athletic and wants the feeling of a running shoe in a dress shoe or to anyone with sore feet that needs support and comfort. I bought these Clarks and a pair of Vasque Gore-Tex boots on Black Friday and they were kind of a gift to my self for Cristmas. I didnt need another pair of shoes but to get the 60% off deal you had to spend $150.00 minimum. So I got two pair of really quality shoes for more than half off. Enough about the money part these shoes fit perfect and are more comfrotable than I expected them to be plus they look great for any casual occasion. I have a similar pair of Merrells that are great shoes but these Clarks are even better and they should be for what they cost. Im the worlds worst skeptic for buying online especially something like clothing or shoes but not now. If you are style conscience you might not want to wear these with the tux but then again you might. I am on my feet for hours at a time on a hard surface. Before getting these shoes I came home at night with acheing feet. No more. Ive been using them for a few months. Other shoes were quickly retired. If these only last a year Ill be buying another pair. They arent the prettiest shoes Ive ever worn but when the choice of pretty shoes means painful feet Ill choose these shoes every time. I used some Credit Card Points to get this shoe in black since I needed some new office shoes.They are so lite and comfortable I started wearing them on my daily walks and now prefer them to the walking shoes I bought.I will wait to see how they hold up, and in another month if the soles are still great I will get a pair in brown.
