I took them out of the box and looked them over pretty well; they seemed to be of very high quality and I was impressed with how durable and stable the sole seemed. But no matter--I was determined not to wait another week or two to get new boots in so I stuffed some fairly-new insoles in and put on some heavier socks and it felt just right. They looked great too! I wore them to work the next day and they were quite comfortable but definitely not non-slip. The real disappointment came a little later that night when I was at a restaurant with my girlfriend and noticed that the crepe toe was coming apart from the rest of the sole! I couldnt believe that these shoes could not even last 1 DAY without falling apart! Maybe its a fluke-Ill be returning these and exchanging them for a new pair of the correct size and will update this review when I try them out. WTF Clarks!
