I do cleaning at a local resort. One day a co-worker enthusiastically called me over to boast about her new shoes. When she explained they were called Clarks Muckers I had to laugh at the funny name. She went on to say how very comfortable they were in addition to being waterproof and anti-skid. When she told me this I knew how valuable her review of these shoes really was since shes in charge of the kitchen and daily walks for long hours on floors that can often be wet and slippery. The place has many small individual unattached rental units so to get to the places I must clean Im constantly moving in and out of buildings up and down stairs outside in all types of weather. For years I just bought a decent pair of white sneakers from the store at the mall; but when it rains they dont keep my feet dry especially when I cant avoid a somewhat deep puddle! And of course they dont stay white for long either! So I bought a pair and can now do my own boasting! They are great and all of what they claim to be and come in so many different styles! Look great too! Ive already had admirers! So long sneakers!Tongue is not loose it is sewn and folded inwards which is why I rated this shoe as a 4 star rather than a 5 star. Where the tongue folds it pushes onto your foot when you tie the shoe so it does not flop on your feet which makes this pair of shoes extremely uncomfortable after a couple of hours of wear. Where the tongue is folded it leaves a red mark on your foot! If the tongue laid flat it would be a huge improvement as the rest of the shoe is great fitting and lots of padding under your foot. Maybe its just me because I do have a hard time finding comfortable shoes but I was disappointed in these. While the first few steps feel heavenly--the sole is so soft it positively bounces--the padding on the inside is SO thick that my toes painfully hyperextended after about a half-hour of walking. Now Im stuck with them and not sure I can wear them. Not sure what to say except that if you have sensitive feet test these around the house before committing to them outside. I bought both a black and red pair of these 4 or 5 years ago. They are still waterproof and look good despite heavy wear. They are especially good for dog walking here on the Pacific coast: they see year-round use.The cushioning is superior and there is really NOTHING bad to say about them. I wear a 7 and have a widish foot and these fit perfectly. The tie-up model is more forgiving than the zipper model if you have a wider foot or higher instep than the norm. Although there is nothing wrong with my current ones Im getting a new pair at Amazon.com just in case they are discontinued. I wear these everywhere.

This boot is wonderful! It is waterproof, and fits like a dream, while providing excellent support. I wore out my first pair, using them daily in the winter and early spring, for 3 years, in colder climates. I can be very hard on shoes and boots, but this pair took everything I dished out, on kindergarten playgrounds filled with ice and snow, slush and puddles! Thanks to Clark's, I'm ordering a new pair!

Great shoe. Exactly what I was looking for to take on a trip to the Pacific Northwest. I wore these shoes hiking hiking everday while in the Pacific Rim of Vancouver Island and on Mt. Rainier.The only problems was that I got just days before my trip and didn't have a chance to properly break them in, hence bad blisters. By the end of my trip (11 days)my skin had harden and all was good. Very comfortable for loads of walking and kept me dry.
