They come with a soft lined cushioned insole and tend to run a little larger than size so an addl insole or orthotic would do you well.This boot uses a zip mechanism to sinch it closed...it does not seem to have a locking function to it but they have yet to unsim on me even when jogging a distance. The rubberised toecap is a great feathure if you happen to beal with crowds or light equipment...Clarks has a cavalcade of interesting styles...many of which combine good looks and solid construction which equals positive function!I am a Clarks DeSoto boot owner and I approve this review...
